Lắm rận thì giàu, lắm trâu thì nghèo

Chỉ cách nói mỉa mai rằng người nghèo thường giàu lòng vị tha, nhân ái, còn người giàu lại dễ ích kỉ, kém rộng lượng. Cũng có khi dùng để nói người nghèo hay che giấu cái nghèo, còn người giàu lại giả nghèo để tránh bị nhờ vả, vay mượn.

This proverb ironically suggests that poor people are often generous and compassionate, while the wealthy may be selfish and lacking in kindness. It can also be used to imply that the poor try to hide their poverty, whereas the rich pretend to be poor to avoid requests for help or loans.
